Breakfast reciepes
As we know breakfast is the most important meal of the day .However when breaking a fast we want to give are bodies a chance to detoxify from the previous days meals,so we should wait at least 12-15hours before we begin to eat again .It should be something light and easy to digest and loaded with nutrients to help start the day.
1 cup of oatmeal with soy milk or other alternative milk product(almond milk )add cinnamon and honey or molasses for your sweetener
and a handful of raisins or your favorite fruit
brown rice can be used instead of oatmeal
or a fruit bowel would also be a wonderful start to the morning
1/4 cup walnuts or favorite nut(opt.)
1 banana 1 apple handful of raisins a few apricots and
some soy milk or almond milk and cinnamon if desired
please be creative with your favorite fruits have fun !
Smoothies
Mango Coconut
1 cup of mangoes 1/2 cup of pineapple chunks
1 1/2cups coconut milk
1-2 tsp. agave syrup(honey)
1/2 cup of ice
blend until smooth or desired consistency
Orange Banana pineapple
1 banana 2 oranges 1 cups of pineapples
or find your desired mixture maybe you want more banana
1/2 cup orange juice (add less or more) about 1 tbsp of honey or less
blend until desired consistency
Berry Good
2 cups mixed blueberries and raspberries
2 cups coconut milk 1tsp. of cinnamon (opt.)
1-2 tsp. agave syrup or honey
1/2 cup of ice
blend until smooth or desired consistency
Grape Apple
30-40 grapes 1 1/2-2 cups(organic)
2-4 apples juiced from juicer
1/2 cup ice
blend until desired consistency
Mango Passion
1 1/2 cups pineapple and mango chunks
1 passion fruit or 2 tbsp. of puree
1 1/2 cups of coconut or almond milk
1/2 cup of ice
blend until smooth or desired consistency
I also enjoy Kashi brand cereal and Cassacadian Farm for a quick meal.
Apple juice or Orange juice(but not together) from the juicer is also excellent
If you are not able to take the time to seat down and have a meal .Please have a piece or two of 100%Whole grain toast with soy butter add a little honey and cinnamon(opt). for added benefits and taste or have a banana or apple or your favorite fruit .
